Qamr ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Qamr mobile application and related services. By using Qamr, you agree to the practices described here.

To make Qamr work, and to keep it real and human, we collect the following:

  • Information you provide: username, email, and profile details.
  • Content: posts, comments, messages, stories, and media you create.
  • Communications: messages between users, and with our support team.
  • Device info: device type, operating system, and app version.
  • Usage & logs: interactions, diagnostics, and crash reports.
  • Location: approximate location, only if you enable it.
  • Media: images and videos you upload to use app features.

How we use your information

  • Operate core features of the app.
  • Enable feeds, messaging, and interactions with other users.
  • Deliver Qamr Pulse and community features.
  • Improve performance and reliability.
  • Prevent abuse, spam, and policy violations.
  • Send notifications you've opted into.
We do not sell your personal data. Ever. That's the whole point.

Data sharing

We share only what's necessary to operate Qamr:

  • With other users, based on your own activity and settings.
  • With service providers who handle hosting, notifications, and infrastructure.
  • To comply with legal obligations.
  • To protect users and the integrity of the platform.

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

  • Encrypted connections using HTTPS.
  • Secure backend systems with monitored access.
  • Authentication and access controls on all sensitive endpoints.

No system is completely secure, but we work hard to minimize risk and respond quickly to any incident.

We retain your data as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

You can request account deletion at any time, and we'll walk you through the process.

  • Control notifications via your device settings.
  • Manage and remove your own content.

Qamr is not intended for users under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. By using Qamr, you consent to this processing and to the standards described in this policy.
